Simply stated, Kappa Delta is more than a century-old sisterhood of nearly 200,000 initiated members, formed for the purpose of promoting and encouraging women to be their best selves through the power of friendship. Kappa Delta is four national philanthropies-the most of any sorority. Kappa Delta is feeling that you are part of something grand and something glorious. Kappa Delta is a sisterly bond that can never be broken. But most of all, Kappa Delta is forever.

Kappa Delta Purpose

The purpose of Kappa Delta Sorority is to promote true friendship among the college girls of our country by inculcating into their hearts and lives those principles of truth, of honor, of duty, without which there can be no true friendship.

Kappa Delta Object

The object of Kappa Delta Sorority is the formation and perpetuation of good fellowship, friendship and sisterly love among its members; the encouragement of literature and education; the promotion of social interest; and the furtherance of charitable and benevolent purposes

DID YOU KNOW?

~Kappa Delta Sorority was founded October 23, 1897 at State Female Normal School (now Longwood University), Farmville, VA.

~In 1999, Kappa Delta created National Women's Friendship Day for women everywhere to celebrate those special women in their lives. Every third Sunday in September is set aside as a day to remember the women we call friends!
